TRANSLATORS NEEDED
Since there are over 100 different languages spoken in Peckham and Transition Town Peckham needs to make itself more accessible to the wider community, we are considering building a pool of translators in the area. Southwark Council already has a translation service, but having volunteers of our own would also be useful. If you speak a language other than English, or know anyone else who does, would you or they be interested in helping TTP reach other people and groups? If so, please drop us a line at this address: email@transitiontownpeckham.org
Thanks!
FLAT TIME HOUSE SHOW
Flat Time House is located at 210 Bellenden Road, London SE15 4BW and was once the home of John Latham, the artist. There is a new exhibition of artworks, archive, movies and sound curated by Tony Herrington (Editor-in-Chief and Publisher, The Wire) and David Toop (musician, curator, long-time collaborator of John Latham). The show is free, everybody is welcome, and it is open Thurs to Sun 12:00pm – 6:00pm from 24 June - 25 July. Try and attend if you can and learn a little more about the history of Peckham.

TTP ALLOTMENT
We've got an allotment! Its on the Bonar Road/ Surrey Canal Allotment Society behind Peckham LIbrary. Its only been a month but we've cleared, improved and planted out, and now we're watching (and hoping) that the veg will grow and the weeds will wilt. If you want to come and join in some planting and weeding we're there on Sundays and Wednesdays from 6pm. If you can't make these times or just want to find out more email caroline@transitiontownpeckham.org.uk.
Also, check out the Food and Growing Group page, where we'll be keeping a diary of what's happening.
PECKHAM SPACE
Peckham Space opened on June 12th and featured TTP and TT Brixton on Saturday 19th! Felix Gonzales, film maker Peckham resident for over 25 years and one of the founding members of TTP, will showcase short films made by local young people as part of his ongoing work within the field of community media. Duncan Law from Transition Town Brixton will be speaking and TTP feature in the films, we'll also be attending. We'll be adding a link soon but if you can't wait, have a look at these two links www.peckhamspace.com and www.youandifilms.com
